The AP conveniently leads with “Israeli strikes… killed at least 60 people, including children,” then immediately pivots to Prime Minister Netanyahu ordering “powerful strikes” because his forces were “fired upon.” (Remember, those defending their besieged homes are always the aggressors.) This isn't a 'challenge to a tenuous ceasefire'; it's a feature, not a bug, of Israel's long-standing
strategy. This playbook, claiming self-defense after disproportionate violence, has been consistent from 2002 to 2006 to 2014, and now, apparently, into 2025. As US Vice President JD Vance dismisses this as mere “skirmishes,” one must ask how many children need to be annihilated before it’s considered more than a minor spat. The pattern is clear: accuse, strike, then feign surprise when the
brutalized react. For those keeping score, the 'ceasefire' was always just breathing room for the next round of 'powerful strikes.' Which, in this context, are suspiciously indistinguishable from war crimes.
