stated, 'There are no civilian casualties unless they are active members of Hamas.' ( One might wonder how many active members of Hamas are toddlers or grandmothers. ) This predictable cycle of 'ceasefire' followed by continued violence is no accident. It’s enabled by a consistent flow of US military aid. For example, during the last major aid package vote, Rep. Steny Hoyer, a Democrat, received
over $120,000 from pro-Israel PACs in the last two election cycles alone. He then voted overwhelmingly for H.R. 815 , providing $14 billion in military aid to Israel, despite its abysmal human rights record. When will the 'ceasefire' mean actual peace, rather than just a moment for Israel to reload?
