A touching human interest piece, if you ignore the fact that 'reshaped' is rather an understatement for the deliberate destruction of every single university in Gaza—including Al-Azhar, Islamic University, and Al-Israa University, which was infamously blown up in a controlled demolition by the
IDF on January 17, 2024. ('War' is certainly one way to describe it when one side has F-16s funded by American taxpayers.) Perhaps CBS forgot to mention the 90% of schools damaged or destroyed, or that 625,000 students have no access to education, as per UNRWA. Instead, we get a carefully curated narrative that distances the 'war' from any actual perpetrators, allowing viewers to lament the
tragedy without questioning the $14 billion in US military aid recently approved, on top of Congress consistently greenlighting billions more annually. How many universities vanish before the media calls it something other than a 'reshaping'?
