New York, California, Minnesota, and two other Democratic-led states successfully blocked the federal government from cutting $10 billion in aid for vulnerable children and families. This comes after some loud allegations (unproven of course) of 'nationwide fraud' that conveniently appeared when domestic social programs needed funding. Meanwhile, the very same federal government, through its
legislative branch, overwhelmingly passed HR 815, providing a staggering $14.1 billion in 'security assistance' to Israel, with nary a whimper about 'fraud' allegations (despite reports of US-supplied weapons being used to destroy aid convoys, as reported by outlets like the New York Times ). One might wonder: where is the 'fraud' investigation into that? It’s almost as if some allegations are
more equal than others. $10 billion for American children is a major win; $14.1 billion for a foreign military engaged in what many international legal scholars label as potential genocide is just 'business as usual.' The double standard isn't just glaring; it's practically a blinding spotlight on where US priorities truly lie. Apparently, when it comes to aid, 'vulnerable children and families'
