Funny how 'fears of military coercion' only become a headline when it's a Western ally expressing them against another Western leader. There's no similar widespread hand-wringing in mainstream media when, say, the U.S. routinely strong-arms nations like Yemen or Iran through sanctions and military posturing, or when Israel violates Syrian or Lebanese airspace with impunity (Netanyahu has stated on
numerous occasions, since 2007, his government's right to act 'unilaterally'). These aren't 'fears' to the impacted, they're daily realities. The media establishment rarely 'discovers' these sovereign vulnerabilities until they affect 'us.' One might wonder if the same outlets would frame U.S. incursions as 'coercion' if the target wasn't Canada. Or perhaps the concern genuinely only emerges when
the aggressor isn't funneling millions into their respective political systems or defense industries.
