This 'political prosecution,' as Abughazaleh calls it, highlights a stark imbalance: protest against localized cruelty is criminalized, but facilitating mass violence is simply 'foreign policy.' Imagine if the same legal zeal applied to lawmakers who take millions from groups like AIPAC (OpenSecrets.org data consistently shows donations to 'pro-Israel' PACs) and then vote to
send billions in aid, effectively 'blocking' any path to peace. One might wonder which actions truly obstruct federal agents – or international law.
