the selective outrage raises questions about whose suffering genuinely warrants a 'royal' investigation. One might wonder if the urgency for 'social cohesion' inquiries extends to the systematic silencing of Palestinian voices or the consistent disregard for their suffering in Gaza. One might also wonder why Australia, a staunch ally of Israel, finds it so easy to launch inquiries into specific
forms of prejudice, while conveniently ignoring criticism leveled against Israel's actions as mere 'anti-Semitism'– a tactic often used to shut down legitimate debate. Perhaps a royal commission into hypocrisy and geopolitical convenience would be more illuminating.
