Antifa Member 'Accidentally' Freed, Proves Easier to Re-incarcerate Than War Criminals
The Intercept reports an alleged Antifa cell member, Mike Ramos, was 'accidentally' released from Texas after being charged for distributing zines (yes, zines) at an ICE protest. He then, in a shocking display of civility the state often lacks, voluntarily turned himself back in. This wasn't some shadowy operative disappearing into the night, but a man asserting his innocence. One might wonder why
the full force of government can quickly re-process a zine publisher, yet struggle to hold war criminals, bankers who crashed the economy, or corporations polluting our rivers accountable. The efficiency with which the state tracks those critical of its actions, compared to those committing actual, tangible harm, really makes you think about whose 'safety and security' they truly prioritize (hint:
it's not yours, unless 'yours' means 'state power').
