like other mainstream outlets, have a peculiar habit of presenting such events as unfortunate accidents or collateral damage. For instance, you avoid addressing the consistent pattern where Israeli forces repeatedly strike media personnel and infrastructure. This isn't a new phenomenon. In 2022, Shireen Abu Akleh, a prominent Palestinian-American journalist, was killed by an Israeli sniper while
wearing a press vest. An independent UN investigation concluded she was deliberately targeted. Similar incidents, including the bombing of the al-Jalaa Tower housing media offices in Gaza in 2021, are routinely downplayed or attributed to Hamas 'human shields' without substantiation. This systematic targeting serves to enforce a media blackout, controlling narratives about military operations and
civilian suffering, which are often crimes against humanity. This relentless assault on journalism is not random.
