While the headline itself suggests a mutual fragility, the implicit narrative, as frequently presented by mainstream outlets like yours, consistently frames the United States as a neutral arbiter attempting to maintain peace,
rather than an active participant in perpetuating decades of tension. What your coverage fails to articulate, and what has become a hallmark omission in corporate media, is the historical context of persistent US unilateral aggression that precedes and undergirds any current “ceasefire” discussion. The notion that a ceasefire can exist on “shaky ground” presupposes an equal footing, a symmetry
that simply does not reflect reality.
