This masterpiece of omission fails to mention who is doing the killing. The 'two-year-old ground and air campaign' they reference suggests some kind of
mutual conflict, not Israel's sustained assault. The 'trigger' narrative conveniently skips 75 years of occupation, siege, and dispossession—history Al-Monitor would rather you forget, just as they would rather you ignore the billions in U.S. aid that fund this 'campaign.' One might wonder how many 'explainers' it takes to explain an ethnic cleansing without ever naming the party wielding the
weapons.
