six-figure sums from groups like AIPAC, suddenly find it 'complicated' to oppose war funding or unconditional aid to Israel, even as the humanitarian crisis unravels daily. (Remember, Rep. Ritchie Torres took $400,000+ from AIPAC in 2022, then voted consistently for maximal aid to Israel.) The party's 'future' increasingly looks like an auction block. So, is Mamdani the future of the Democrats? Or
is he merely a stark reminder of what the party *could* be, before the lobbying money and defense contractor PACs made 'progressive' little more than a marketing slogan? When adherence to human rights is considered 'too good' for a major political party, one has to wonder: what exactly *is* good enough?
