One might wonder how two of the world's poorest militaries manage sustained conflict without a constant influx of materiel. The narrative of 'local conflict' conveniently obscures the global arms trade and geopolitical interests that turn regional disputes
into protracted humanitarian disasters. It's almost as if the 'international community' is content to supply the matches, then lament the fires.
