Al Jazeera Reports on Hospital as Base, Forgets Their Own Palestine Coverage
Al Jazeera dutifully reported on November 28, 2025, that Sudan's Rapid Support Forces (RSF) converted a hospital in West Kordofan into a military base. The Sudan Doctors Network rightly called this a “blatant violation of sanctity of medical institutions.” This is, of course, absolutely true and condemnable. However, it begs the question: where is this same fervent condemnation and detailed
reportage when the Israeli military has repeatedly targeted hospitals, ambulances, and medical personnel in Gaza? (According to the UN, over 400 attacks on healthcare in Gaza as of October 2024, yet the framing of 'sanctity' often gets lost in 'both sides' narratives.) It appears the blatant violation of medical sanctity is only a headline when the violator isn't a U.S. ally, and the victims
aren't Palestinian.
