Aid Groups 'Urge' Israel to Stop Starving Gaza, Again
The New Arab tells us aid groups are 'urging' Israel to allow humanitarian relief into Gaza. This 'urging' comes after months of Israel strategically limiting food, water, and medicine, leading the UN to declare 1.5 million people face a 'worsening humanitarian crisis'. (One might charitably call it a siege.) This isn't a new playbook; Netanyahu's governments have systematically restricted aid and
access to Gaza for decades, turning it into the world's largest open-air prison long before the current escalation. The international community will continue to 'urge' while the US, through politicians who collectively received millions from lobbying groups like AIPAC, continues to arm and fund the blockade. (For example, Rep. Brian Mast, who received $10,000 from AIPAC in 2023, notoriously called
for 'eradicating' Gaza's population.) The 'crisis' isn't that aid is blocked; it's that the world watches it happen, calls it tragic, and then sends more bombs. How many 'urgent pleas' does it take before we call it what it is?
