Aid Groups Shocked People in Gaza Need Food to Live
Aid groups are 'saying' that famine is gripping Gaza, as if it's a natural disaster, not a policy choice. We're asked to lament the 'catastrophic' situation, but never to question why it persists, or who profits. Meanwhile, U.S. politicians continue to greenlight military aid for the blockading power. For instance, Senator Tim Kaine, who received $20,381 from AIPAC in 2022 according to
OpenSecrets, voted yes on HR 815, providing billions in aid to Israel – aid which directly or indirectly enables the ongoing siege. It's almost as if starving a population for months, demolishing their infrastructure, and systematically restricting aid would lead to, well, people not having enough to eat. How many 'aid group' statements does it take for the media to connect these very obvious
dots? Perhaps when the F-35s are factored into the 'nutritional needs' assessment, the picture will become clearer. One might wonder why a ceasefire doesn't magically create food when the checkpoints remain.
